What makes art...ART? Sure, a professor who has studied the subject for years could tell you, but has anyone tried asking a group of slightly-less-than-knowledgeable comedians? Well Modern Whitney does exactly that!
We take you on a ride through the art world with a couple of New York’s finest comedians. Join in on the fun the fun with them as they dissect, interpret and analyze your favorite pieces of art throughout history as best as they can. But don’t you worry, they’ll be accompanied by a bona fide expert (she has a degree and everything!) who will give an academic interpretation of each piece, because learning is just as fun as laughing.
In this interactive version of the show, the audience is part of the act. After our expert panel examines art made by “professional” artists, they’ll search for the deeper meaning behind some pieces created by members of the audience. Because honestly, can’t random people from the internet make art that’s just as good as what’s in museums these days? Stick figures welcome! (seriously... most of what we get is stick figures)

If you sign up to submit art for our expert panel to review, we'll contact you via email and ask you to submit a simple piece of art before the show (emphasis on "simple"... stick figures really are fine). Each week will have a theme, which we'll communicate to you before you send in your art. Feel free to follow it... or just ignore us.
